About the Artist and Glass Studio
I am a Canadian-British artist, maker and teacher based here in Lancashire. My voice might sound a little transatlantic in videos — that’s just part of the story that makes me me! 😊 More recently, I've been exploring kiln-formed techniques and experimental processes that reveal the expressive possibilities of glass.
Crafting has always been more than a hobby — it’s a way of seeing the world. I'm naturally drawn to colour, texture, light and rhythm, and love experimenting with glass, mosaics, willow and fibres to explore creative expression. Whether it’s a sun catcher, a fused glass piece, or an intuitive mosaic, every creation reflects curiosity, joy and a sense of play.
I'm self-taught but endlessly curious, and bring that spirit into everything I do. My work is grounded in sustainability and experimentation — with a little bit of magic in between. Wherever you are on your creative journey, there’s always room to try, learn, and grow.
Teaching & Workshops
For the last 15 years, I've been running a variety of classes and sessions — from fused glass and mosaic workshops to willow weaving, wire wrapping and felting — welcoming beginners and seasoned makers alike. My classes are informal, supportive and fun, designed to help you find confidence, spark new ideas, and enjoy making with others.
Recent students have said:
“… really enjoyed the informal approach…”
“… plenty of design ideas…”
“… good range of materials…”
Creating isn’t just about the finished piece — it’s about connection, expression and the satisfaction of making something truly your own.
Community & Connection
I teach at Leyland Studio and also offer online courses and craft kits you can enjoy at home. In the past, I worked with schools, community spaces, colleges and art centres — and love helping people discover how empowering creativity can be.
Why Craft?
I believe that creative making makes us better humans. It builds confidence, invites play, calms the mind and brings joy into everyday life. Whether you’re exploring a new skill or developing your artistic voice, you’re welcome here.
Let’s Make Something Together
There’s no skill level required — just curiosity and a willingness to have a go. I hope to see you in a workshop, online, or crafting in your own studio soon.
Please note: I have a fragrance allergy, so my studio is fragrance-free for the comfort and safety of everyone.
